positions of place:
converging viewpoints in visual communication
This thesis explores visual relationships to physical spaces. It exposes questions of how graphic design is interpreted in the built environment through a multiplicity of simultaneous viewpoints. The work re-examines graphic communication using contemporary technologies that mediate our physical environments. The work is developed using tools and techniques found in a variety of different disciplines with an emphasis on the relationship to body and place.
